Tis the Season for Bad Holiday Sweaters

Nothing in the world makes me happier than seeing someone wearing a really cheesy holiday sweater! I love that there are still people living and walking among us that SERIOUSLY put on their holiday sweater - look at themselves in the mirror - and think to themselves "I look great!" Looking forward to making fun of grown adults in their tacky holiday sweaters - now that's the true meaning of Christmas!

Bullard/Aggie Bonfire

Brady made Thanksgiving special by creating a true Aggie Bonfire (complete with "Texas" outhouse) in the backyard! We had a blast with family and friends and I am certain we will turn this event into a tradition. Although, I am not sure where we will get our wood next year. This year's pile was from trees removed out of our yard. If we do the same thing next year we will have a "naked" lot! Thanks so much to all of you who came to help us celebrate - and a special thanks to Tracy for bringing "bonfire" wine! I am pretty sure I drank the entire bottle by myself! Party On :)

No Wonder!

No wonder we always have broken bones! Things like this are a daily event in our home. Somebody feed that kid - look at those ribs!

Broken Bones - Piece of Cake

Ugggh - where have I been?? Unfortunately, blogging, painting, crafting, even showering has all been put on the back burner. My sweet Noah broke his arm AGAIN!! The good news is this break is minor in comparison to some of the other breaks we have dealt with (no bones came out of the skin and no emergency surgery required). He was playing football with his Dad and Uncle Jason and fell "funky" on his arm after going for a long pass. That attempt to impress his Dad and Uncle resulted in a buckle and hair line fracture. This makes break number 3 for Noah and break number 5 total for our family of boys. Nobody call cps - I can assure you all 5 breaks were either playground or sport related - we evidently just have hard playing, hard headed, fearless boys! Noah will be in a removable cast for a few weeks and his little arm will heal so that he can get back out on the football field and play again! I am becoming a pro at this whole broken bone thing - I didn't even freak out or pass out this time! Broken bones - piece of cake!

Hunting Gear and Pain - That Sounds Like Fun

This weekend my husband took our oldest son (Brady Michael) on his first "real" hunting weekend. They had a great time and were able to get in some serious male bonding. Brady Michael came home full of excitement and had lots of great stories to tell about their time together. After a few stories I quickly realized that everything they did at the deer lease revolved around some sort of danger. Not only did they hunt animals with bows and guns, but they also hunted each other with paintball guns! My sweet baby was completely peppered with bruises and could not have been more proud to show those bruises off. In addition to playing with weapons and shooting each other with fast moving paint bullets (that can totally put out an eye), they also played with chainsaws and did a little tree cutting (you know just for added pleasure). As a girl I don't get it - but I am glad that their danger filled weekend was so much fun for both of them and that they both came home alive!

I also would like to say that I never want to hear my husband complain about me shopping for clothes ever again! Just look at all of the "stuff" he had to buy for Brady Michael just so he could disappear in the woods! Hunting gear - expensive stuff and it's not even pretty!
